The typical place to start would be second hand advertising trailers that are 8 feet long by 6 feet high and 4 feet wide. You can of course go bigger, but this is a pretty standard size. This size of trailer will normally be single axle. Trailers come in two standard types of construction. Firstly, some used advertising trailers will be made from phenolised timber which is extremely tough and hard-wearing. Equally strong is the other main type of second hand advertising trailers, which are glass reinforced plastic /plywood composite material that has ‘stay white’ quality.
Of course, if you are looking for larger sized used advertising trailers, they usually come in 12feet x 10feet, 16feet x 14feet, and 20feet x 18feet models. The larger-sized trailers will offer extra stability as they will be twin axle vehicles.
Many second hand advertising trailers come with a floor and hatch. This enables them to be ballasted for stable towing. With some models, it is also possible to carry a load too.
The vast majority, if not all, of second hand advertising trailers will feature a galvanised steel chassis and the instantly recognisable A-frame. Used advertising trailers come in unbraked and braked versions. It should be noted that models that are over 750kg in weight must be fitted with brakes.
